Ignition was established by its principles Andrew Sale and Ian Hamilton to meet the growing requirement for businesses that require sales experience, but are not prepared to take on board the risks associated with this.
Andrew previously spent a number of years involved in solving manufacturing issues in the automotive industry. He then started in technical sales and was responsible for turn key solutions relating to the production of moulds for a large manufacturing company.
Following a move to Omega plastics (a Rapid cut tooling specialists), Andrew met Ian. Through their employment at Omega, they were responsible for advising companies on how to get products to market in the most cost effective and efficient manner. During a period of three years, Andrew and Ian were responsible for generating sales in excess of £3 million.
Ian has spent the majority of his working life in sales. His broad knowledge of product development, retail category management and sales strategy methods has been utilised at a number of blue chip companies including Cadbury Schweppes and more recently Omega plastics before leaving to establish Ignition.
